Dak & Co
Kay and her business partner, Piet van Rensburg co-created Dak & Collaboratives, screen printed goods for retail and wholesale. Kay was the lead designer on the team and created Dak the Fargo Bison. The iconic graphic was created to pay homage to Kay's love of the Fargo community. Dak & Co served the Fargo community and provided custom apparel collections for multiple retailers in the region. They were featured in pop up events city-wide including West Acres Mall, Folkways Night Bazaar and many more. This video captures the community engagement the Dak & Co team created.
Dak & Co was featured in the feature film, Tankhouse, filmed in 2020 and released in 2022.
West Acres Mall
West Acres Mall was in need of artwork to cover a large scale wall. Together we finalized a design series for both fall and winter. Kay created the 20 foot design hand-drawn with white chalk. Each installation took 3 days to complete. The design was a great addition to the fall and winter festivities including, It's a Wonderful Night, the location's yearly fundraiser, Fall Tap Fest and Holiday shopping.
Kay has been a partner with West Acres Mall since 2017, and has been a part of various events as a content creator, store model, artist and fitness instructor.
Kay was featured as a local pop up shop with her apparel company, Dak & Co for the Holiday season of 2019.
Doubting Thomas Farms
Local organic producer, Noreen Thomas, co-owner of Doubting Thomas Farms and Kay presented her rebrand project at Food of the North's First Friday's community event.
The rebrand captures the story of the farm and includes hand-drawn characters designed by family members. Over the process of rebranding her logo and packaging, Noreen has become Kay's dear friend. She's enjoyed helping transform her brand and showcase her quality products with quality visuals. Some of Doubting Thomas Farms partnerships include Food Network's Molly Yeh, Bernbaum's, Swanson Health & Michelin Star Kitchens across the nation.
Locally Trending
Kay and the team at Spotlight Media produced a monthly article, Locally Trending, featuring locally-sourced interior decor and artwork. Each month Kay worked with local businesses to curate products, coordinate photoshoots and produced articles monthly for Design & Living Magazine (Now Trendsetters Magazine.)
